Cancer Talk Week

Men are 60% more likely to develop the disease and 70% more likely to die from it. Shockingly these stats come about because men are reluctant to talk about it.

Macmillan asked for a high profile campaign that would encourage men to talk about cancer. With a limited budget it had to be PRable.

The idea was simple. Let’s interview male celebrities and ask them ‘what was the worst thing they’ve ever said and wished they really hadn’t. The main messaging being ‘There are times when you really shouldn’t open your mouth.  This week isn’t one of them.’

Ricky Gervais, Ray Winstone, Ed Byrne and others all did their bit for Macmillan.
These funny and embarrassing stories we’re then edited and seeded. Ricky Gervais even tweeted about it.
